“For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified” – Hebrews 10:14 (NRSV)

“It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process” – Hebrews 10:14 (MSG)

Christ-follower means we will follow Christ ___________ He leads

“Jesus saw Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men’” – Matt 4:18-19

“Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, ‘Follow me.’ And he rose and followed him” – Matt 9:9

Jesus: “Follow Me” – approx. 22 times [Matthew (7 times); Mark (4 times); Luke (4 times); John (7 times)]***

“People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives… Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall” -Proverbs 16:2, 18 (NLT)

“Each will receive his wages according to his labor…each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done” – 1 Corinthians 3:8, 13 (ESV)

***FAITH is NOT having everything wrapped up in a neat little package for us – if you “NEED TO KNOW” everything before you will do anything (something) that is NOT FAITH***

“And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’ ” And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.”  When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich” – Luke 18:18-23 (ESV)
